It looks like Monte Carlo is launching something new soon. It’s called Hotel32. Not much has been said about it yet, but here is our best guess at what it is.
It seems like it will be a boutique hotel on the top floor of the Monte Carlo. Monte Carlo has 32 floors, hence the name Hotel32. MGM Grand has a similar “hotel within a hotel” concept called SkyLoft. After last year’s fire at Monte Carlo, they probably completely redid some of the rooms, turning them into luxury suites.
Here are some pictures of the new rooms:

They are obviously going for a more high-end clientele than the usual Monte Carlo guest. We will try to get more details as they become available.

Tacos & Tequila is a new restaurant that opened today at Luxor in Las Vegas.
“This is not your grandma’s cantina,” owner Michael Frey said. “Tourists and locals now have a sexy, energy-infused Mexican restaurant to hang out in with amazing décor and innovative but no-fuss food. This restaurant is unlike any other in this town.”

Wynn Las Vegas has some big expansion plans. They plan two build two new hotels and 1.6 million square feet of meeting and convention space. The hotels would have around 2,600 rooms reach, bringing the total number of rooms at the property to 10,000. Wynn revealed the plans during a May 1st conference call with investors.
“We’re finally prepared to leverage this unique, incredible physical location, where we straddle two of the most dynamic exhibit centers on earth — the Las Vegas Convention Center to our immediate east on the adjacent property and the Sands Expo & Convention Center on the adjacent property to the south,” Wynn says.
The plans also include a free underground tram system to help move guests around the new massive resort. There was no announced start date for the new projects.

It’s a sad day on Fremont street - the Golden Nugget has raised its prices on its famous 99-cent shrimp cocktail. The price is now a whopping $1.99. This still sounds like a pretty good deal but it just doesn’t have the same ring to it as the 99-cent price did.
The Golden Gate originally started selling the Shrimp Cocktails in 1959, when the price was 50 cents. In 1991 it raised the price to 99 cents.
